How to Start the Chapter 2 Quest - DTI Valentine's Update

To start the Chapter 2 quest in the DTI Valentine's Update, you must either continue directly on from Chapter 1, enter the pink portal once a round is over, or select the Valentine's Quest server from the server list.

The portal that leads to the Valentine's quests is just past the leaderboards in the lobby, and can only be accessed during the Intermission.

To head to the Valentine's quest area from the server list, click on the heart gear icon in the bottom left to open the server menu and select the Valentine's Quest server.

Once inside, you'll be teleported to the Tunnel of Love, where you must stand in the Chapter 2 area to be transported to the Valentine's Chapter 2 quest.

How to Complete the Chapter 2 Valentine's Quest in DTI - Walkthrough

After the cutscene, you'll find yourself in the Fortress. Head up the stairs in front of you, where you'll see a locked door with three heart locks. To open the door, you must find and open four chests.

How to Find and Open Chest #1

To find the first chest, start by heading left from the locked door across a wooden bridge.

You'll reach a platform. Go across the bridge on the left.

On the other side of the bridge, you'll reach another platform. You'll notice the chest immediately as it will have a yellow outline.

To open the first chest, you must solve a card-matching puzzle. There are 16 cards and eight pairs that you need to match up, and the game only gives you a few seconds to memorize where each pair is before the cards flip over. Each attempt randomizes the card order, so it's different for everyone.

You only have a handful of mistakes before you'll fail and have to start over again, so choose carefully!

How to Find and Open Chest #2

To find the second chest, start at the first chest and cross the bridge back to the platform. Then cross the bridge on the left.

You'll be in a maze that looks like the Home of the Doves: Medical Center from the Halloween Update quest. It appears as though the location of the chest is randomized, but we've found it in two different places.

To open the second chest, you must solve another card memory puzzle. This time, you'll need to track the location of the butterfly card as it moves around the screen. You're given a couple of seconds to look at the butterfly before the cards turn over and they move. Once they stop moving, click on the card you think the butterfly is under.

You'll need to find the butterfly card four times to open the chest.

How to Find and Open Chest #3

To find the third chest, backtrack through the maze and back to the heart-locked door. This time, cross the bridge on the right.

When you reach the platform, take the bridge on the right to a new room, which turns dark as you enter.

The chest is tucked away behind some crates on the left side of the room. If you look carefully, you can notice it by its red glow.

To open the third chest, you'll need to solve another card matching puzzle, the same one as Chest #1. Again, you can make this easier if you take a photo of the cards with your phone.

How to Find and Open Chest #4

To find the fourth chest, start from the third chest you just opened and cross the bridge back to the previous platform. Cross the bridge on the left.

Like Chest #2, it appears as though the fourth chest's location is randomized. We've found it in two places:

Like Chest #2, the fourth chest requires you to solve the butterfly card puzzle to open it.

With all four chests open, return to the heart door.

How to Solve the Heart Door Puzzle

Now that you've opened all four chests, you'll need to solve one more puzzle to open the heart door. You'll notice that four statues outside the door are now lighting up red, blue, yellow, and green. You must remember the order in which they light up and then interact with the statues in that order before the timer above the door ends.

If you correctly guess the statue order, you'll get a green checkmark above your head. You must do this three times to unlock the door. Go through it.

How to Activate the Orbs

In this final section, you must activate 12 different orbs, many of which are located after jumping puzzles. The first orb is immediately ahead of you once you go through the door.

Walk over the newly-activated bridge to find the second orb on the platform. Activate it and a series of platforms will appear to your left.

Don't worry about falling off any of the platforms in this level as you'll respawn!

Hop onto the platforms and jump across them to the other side. Turn left and travel up a large chain, making sure to jump over any gaps.

You'll notice two rocks on the wall. Jump onto them and then onto the platform to find the third orb.

Jump down and continue along the chain to a large rock with the fourth orb on it. Activate it to spawn a set of platforms.

Jump across the platforms to the white platform at the end, where you'll find the fifth orb. Activate it, then backtrack across the platforms you just jumped across.

You'll now find a bridge here to your left. Cross it to find the sixth orb. Activate it and a bridge will appear to your left.

Cross the bridge and you'll find the seventh orb. Activate it to spawn a set of platforms to your right.

Unlike the previous platforms, these ones disappear when you land on them, so make sure you jump over them quickly or you'll fall! Once you reach the white platform at the end, turn right and head up the big chain.

About halfway up the chain, you'll notice the eighth orb below. Drop down before the rock to reach it.

After activating the orb, jump up the rocks to the right, where you'll find some new pink rocks you can jump on. Do so, and continue right across the chain.

You'll eventually reach a ladder you can climb up. Do so, and you'll be on a platform with the ninth orb.

Jump over the moving platforms that appear in front of you to find the 10th orb.

Once you've activated the 10th orb, backtrack across the platforms, where you'll see a new set of platforms ahead of you on the platform with the ninth orb.

Jump across the platforms to reach a platform with the 11th orb. Activate it and a set of platforms will appear to your left.

These are disappearing platforms, so make sure you jump across them fast to avoid falling. Activate the 12th orb on the white platform at the end.

Jump back over the platforms to the circular platform, where you'll now see a bridge to your left leading to a portal. Cross the bridge and you'll get a cutscene.

After the cutscene, the Dress to Impress Valentine's Chapter 2 quest will end.
